I had a strawberry matcha and a biscoff brownie which were both incredibly delicious. It's very small inside but it's a nice cosy atmosphere. All the staff were friendly and welcoming and it's nice that dogs are welcome in there too. I'm excited to go back again and I would highly recommend here

I’ve been visiting The Alchemist since it opened and it really is the best coffee spot. It never disappoints. The decor and interiors are stunning - similar to some coffee shops in Glasgow or Edinburgh, particularly in the West End. There is a really nice relaxed vibe inside. It’s a perfect addition to Inverclyde. The owner is lovely - so friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and truly cares about his customers and the local area. For example, he stocks candles, coffee and dried flowers made by small local businesses. I’ve tried all 3 and would definitely purchase more in future. The coffee is so nice - it’s always presented beautifully and it tastes incredible. The matcha is one of the best I’ve tasted too and the strawberry iced matcha with oat milk is my favourite. There is also a range of cakes and pastries available including gluten free options. It’s a good space to hire for events - there’s a bookclub and a writing group who meet regularly. The Alchemist is a hidden gem in Inverclyde - it’s the perfect place to enjoy a coffee and unwind.

I’ve only been to this café once or twice, but I’m so impressed that the owner already remembers my favorite drink! The cozy atmosphere makes it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy some me-time without any interruptions. Their food is absolutely amazing too! I tried their almond croissant the other day after work, and it completely made my day. And the pistachio brownie? It’s on another level. You can taste the layers of flavors, not just sweetness. The melted chocolate layer is stunning, perfectly balanced with the cake layer. Highly recommend this place!

We had a pleasant experience at this coffee place. The staff are wonderful and the coffee and cakes are delicious. Will definitely be going back. Keep it up guys!

Great atmosphere: love the music, plants, the people, the coffee. Some of the best coffee and pastries I’ve ever had!! Alan, Nina and Sarah are so friendly, so chatty any accommodating. Will go again!

Great coffee, best I've had in the area. Nice cakes and nice chilled environment. With nice decor and music etc Personally I'd just like an option for a large drink and if there was a loyalty scheme. But local and independent coffee shop needs more support than the big brands.

Lovely coffee bar in Greenock. Really nice decor, friendly service and dog friendly too (didn't have the dogs with me but wouldn't hesitate to take them in next time we're in Greenock). I had a long black and a brownie - both excellent. The coffee was really well made. It was also extremely reasonable - I think it was £2.50 for a decent sized long black with milk, which is very cheap compared to other comparable places in Paisley and the west end of Glasgow. Appreciate that the owner might not want to charge those sorts of prices but personally I would be happy paying a bit more to support a local business and if that might help to keep this place in business, they could consider a small increase.

Great place to visit. Coffee and drinks excellent and food fantastic. Staff welcoming and attentive providing first class table service and a great knowledge of all produce on sale. I have visited this shop several times and cannot resist paying a visit each time I am in Greenock. I will be there today.
